QUESTION and ANSWER:
“Remember, trees change their leaves, not their roots. Share your facts and answer the thought on the above line!!”
Very interesting. When I read that like I thought of nature versus nurture. How we are born with certain characteristics in mind (roots). We cannot change our core. If we are nurtured properly, we are able to develop different leaves, which in turn help us adapt to life around us.
That also made me think of people who cannot change. No matter what leaves they present to us, their roots will not change. They can be a chameleon, but that does not mean we should trust them.
Moreover, do not judge the book by its cover. The leaves can be beautiful, but the roots can be rotten. Or the other way round – there can be no leaves on the tree, but the roots can be strong.
