QUESTIONS and ANSWERS:
What’s your niche about? That seems to be an issue of mine. All “successful” bloggers claim you need one. I was never able to narrow my focus onto just one thing. So here I am, discussing my views on the world around us, and penning original creative writing pieces. I follow so many different bloggers BECAUSE of my wide views.
What makes you decide to blog? The need to express my opinion, to educate myself and others, to broaden my horizon by discussion, to motivate myself to be consistent in writing. The people I meet on here are a pleasant addition that now serves as a powerful motivator.
- What would you do if you didn’t blog? I kind of wish blogging was my only job. Something that pays my bills, etc. But the truth is that I have a full time job. I currently have a bunch of family issues that are taking up my time. I have some exciting plans for the near future, too. So there is PLENTY for me to do. If I did not start blogging, I would just continue collecting dust on my creative part of the brain.
What would be the advice that you want to give to the new bloggers? First and foremost, I would say – figure out WHY you want to blog and hone in on that. Have fun with it. Make sure your site is easy to navigate. Once you create your site, make sure it is neat, write your first post(s) and start networking. Search for like-minded people. And those that are unlike you, too. Both have their merits.
If you had a chance to win a lottery, what would you do to the prize? My grandmother would get a nice chunk. Without going into too much detail, I will say that it would help some of my family issues I am currently experiencing. I would buy a house. I would invest. I would travel. Yes, all this involves other people.
What’s your favorite song at the moment? I do not have one.
Do you get pressured about blogging? Since I kind of set myself a blogging schedule, I sometimes feel overwhelmed. Real life takes priority. However, I realized that I set these goals for myself. Hence, I do not have to blog. But, I also realized that I want to. I like challenges and overcoming them.
What’s your favorite dessert? What is not?
What’s your dream job? A full time writer would be cool. Basically anything that would allow me to be creative, have a flexible schedule and pay for my expenses. (I welcome offers.)
What is the story behind your blog name? We need to take life day by day “One day at a time…”, because we live in the present, the past cannot be changed and the future is not guaranteed. We have enough issues to deal with for today. No need to overwhelm ourselves with tomorrow’s issues too, especially because they might not happen.
Name 3 traits that you have. punctual, reliable, spontaneous
