CW: Life – limitless possibilities.

“Write a four line poem about your muse.
(Do this two times:
once where each line rhymes
and then again with no rhyming at all.)”

– a prompt for this week’s CW piece.

Snow is falling,
and I am rolling
down the hill,
with auntie Jill.

It’s bitter cold
but no one’s too old
to have some fun,
even if you’re a nun.

“There’s a blizzard out there.”

I put down my hot cocoa,
sit on the windowsill,
open my notebook,
and then peek outside.

You’re out there.
In the blizzard.
And I am here.
Safe and sound.
Warm and calm.

I want to help you,
but I don’t want to be cold.

Would I rather be miserable
with you,
or perfectly content
on my own?

Stay golden,
