Just the other day, I looked at my stats and noticed that I have had a visitor on my blog from EVERY country in the world.
Fine, I admit. It was just a dream.
Even though I try not to obsess over the numerical stats on my blog (because it’s meant to be a positive outlet, not a stressful one), I do find myself returning to the world map every now and then. The more orange it gets, the happier I am. It really is a phenomenal thing to be able to connect with people from all over the globe. (I know I have said it before a million times, but that is the truth.)
So here is the thing. My 1-year-anniversary of blogging is coming up soon, and I thought I would make a wish. Maybe it will come true. (Even if I do tell you. Especially because I will tell you.) My wish is to have the whole map yellow/ orange.
Below you will find a list of countries that are still white/ grey on my map. If you know of someone who lives in those countries, it would be tremendously appreciated if you either asked them to visit my site or if you provided me with a link to their blog.
If you stumble upon this blog and you are from one of the below-listed countries, be sure to leave a mark in the comments.
Trying to catch them all!
Needed countries:
Greenland (Denmark)- Swalbard (Norway) + Jan Mayen (Norway)
Iceland- North Korea
MongoliaKazahstan- Kyrgyzstan
- Uzbekistan
- Tajikistan
- Afghanistan
- Turkmenistan
Azerbaijan- Iran

I think that is about it. It really did not seem THAT many when I looked at the map. Any help will be appreciated.
Stay golden,
.

Wow awesome! I have to say my map is half yellow/orange only 🙂

Really? I had a bit of a complex, because all the other maps I saw were (almost) all yellow/ orange. Next time I go traveling, I will take my blog with me, so I can log in and see everyone’s posts.

Hm…not mine 😂but I have to check it again.
Yes it’s a good idea, I always take laptop or iPad with me when traveling

I do, too, but I notice that I get too wrapped up in the actual travelling that I don’t have the time to connect with the rest of the world all that much.

Yep…but that’s ok. It’s difficult to post like a robot. We all need a break time to time 🙂

You actually have a really yellow map there. My one year anniversary is coming up too and just like you there is nothing more than I would love than to see more colors on the world map. At the same time I have to say, in the current scenario I have met some wonderful bloggers who are my good friends now and I am really enjoying this as well! Hope your wish comes true!

Good luck on the yellowing of your map.

This really made me laugh! It’s quite bonkers – like Pokemon Go for the globe! (Or bingo, or bird watching – I believe twitchers tick off birds they’ve seen from a list?)
I had a quick look and I have had readers from some of your ‘missing’ places; Iceland, Armenia, Fiji, Azerbaijan, Namibia, Paraguay, Honduras and Peru. I wonder which places you have on your list that I don’t? 🙂

It would be cool if we could “lend” and “borrow” some of our collected readers for a brief moment.

Hey! I’m helping you in making India more orange 😉
I wonder how did you figure out which countries are left out. Do the stats give you an option to know that? Or you just took a list of all the countries and the world and deleted the ones shown in the stats?

Thank you for your continued support.
I’m glad you asked. I was super annoyed to find out that WP names the countries I do have, but not the ones I don’t (when I hover over the map). So yes, I had to look them up manually. I didn’t even think of getting a list and deleting. I just went one by one listing them all. Some I knew, but not all. It was a painful and time consuming effort.

I know right! I was also super annoyed with the same thing. My god! That was really a time consuming task. How many countries have you reached out? Mine is somewhere around 75.

The next time I’m in Burkina Faso, I’ll make sure to leave a shout-out. I really urge you not to write a book and have it on Amazon. If the WordPress stats get to you…those will destroy you…not like I speak from experience or anything.

I’ll hold you to it.
They don’t “get to me”, but it still is something to look forward to.
I chuckled at your book/ Amazon comment.

I’m glad you found it. It’s an interesting glimpse into our audience.
It got me wondering why certain countries are less into blogging. Or maybe they do blog, it’s just that I don’t know how to reach them,

That is pretty awesome to want a visitor from every country in the world, I don’t even know how many there are at this moment but will have to Google it to find out. I just came back to blogging two months ago and this time around I have only had maybe 22 country’s visit mine so far. Good luck on your quest, have a super wonderful day.

I’m sure it’ll be a long time coming! Africa’s got a lot of pieces missing if any of your readers would like to help! Someone visited from Curacao the other day, I had to check a map to see where it is. Hopefully, if the little obsession continues, my geography will improve!
