1 year anniversary.

As you well know (or not), I have been blogging for a year now. (Where is my cake?) And throughout that time, I have started some traditions (i.e. “Hashtag week” every month, “Award” post on the last day of the month, “Post roundup” at the end of every year (Yes, there was only 1 so far, but hush.), and I do not plan on stopping now.

I have decided to share with you my old content. Why? I am not trying to spam you. I just want to dig out some posts from my earlier days to give my new followers a chance to read content that is buried underneath all the new one. It is also interesting to me to see how I, and my blog have evolved since the original publish date.

A good way to distinguish between new and old content is to look at the title. If you see a date from the past in parentheses at the end of the title, it means that it is an old post. You might have seen it, or you might have not. Give it a read anyway. Maybe you have a new take on it. As always, I welcome your comments.

Do you consider it a good, or bad idea? Why? Let me know in the comments. It might help me decide whether to keep doing it in the long run, or not.

Stay golden,

Signature.

  1. Congrats!! It’s a HUGE accomplishment; feel free to boast and brag and be an all around bighead for the the next week. You’ve come so far!! 😀 🎂

  2. How is reposting old posts different from linking to them (and perhaps at the same time explaining why you think they’re worthy of bringing up again)?

I know that one answer to this is ‘very few people read old posts’, but I’m wondering why that is…

    1. That is a very good idea. However, my life isn’t as stable as I would like it to be right now (a lot of changes), so I’m not sure if I would have the time to do a post within a post (inception).

Why that is? Personally, when I have time, I like to check out other people’s oldest posts to see how they’ve developed throughout time. However, once you have a lot of posts (over 100 for me), then the clicking on “older posts” or scrolling becomes too time consuming for people to do so.

  3. It is a really good idea. I hadn’t seen your older posts but only the ones since i started blogging. When you referred me to some of your older posts, i found it very helpful. Looking forward to reading your ‘Legacy’ posts!🌻

  4. Congratulations! You’re posts are always inspiring and there’s always been something to learn in all of them. I personally won’t mind giving them a read again.
Looking forward to both new and old stuff from you.
    Cheers
