*NOMINATION NO. 5*
*MYSTERY BLOGGER AWARD*
FROM: Rue, whom I am just learning about. Her tagline says: “A blog for reviews, politics, and whatever I feel like”. Definitely some interesting political views that I have seen so far.
3 THINGS ABOUT ME:
- I dress up for Halloween.
- Tomorrow I start NaNoWriMo.
- I have never finished writing a book before.
RUE’S QUESTIONS:
What is your favorite movie?
No favorites.
If you could visit one place in the world, what would it be?
That used to be such an easy answer. Not anymore. But probably Peru, or Brazil.
If you could travel to any time period/moment – past or future – what would it be?
A very curious question. I would not want to travel to my past, because it is in the past for a reason. I also would not like to spoil the future (unless I could travel literally to the end of the world), so I would have to travel back a few centuries to see how people lived.
What would you invent to change the world for the better?
What a nobel question. I cannot even begin to answer that.
What movie or book character – from your favorite movie or book – are you most like?
No favorites. And I do not compare myself to others. Sorry.
Stay golden,
***

Wow, somebody’s very popular!!! Congratulations Goldie. Dostoevsky, very impressive, your street cred just went up. Crime and punishment, incredible read. Have you ever read George Orwell? 1984 or Animal Farm?
What about William Golding, The Lord of the Flies?
Lastly, have you ever read King James Version Bible?

Yes to both of G.O’s, yes to LotF.
Yes to the Bible, but not the KJ one, though.

Vulgate.
However, I am working on the King James one in my spare time (not done yet).

This is the first time I have ever heard of Vulgate. Thanks for sharing Goldie

Plus, your writings are small and that’s good. People tend to read small pieces more.

“The reasonable and logical award” Do you know anyone who deserves this?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I thought I did, until I saw your question. Then I wasn’t so sure at the moment.
It took a moment to collect myself, and I realized that yes, I do know a person, or two like that. Maybe they aren’t like that 100% of the time, but from what I’ve seen, they are near damn close.
You would be one of them.

I do think I am reasonable and logical and probably way to practical. I am not sure I would deserve an award though.

I feel like there are people in this world who don’t get much recognition that they deserve. And you seem to fit that profile.

Thank you for this compliment. I am curious – are you in a management position? People who recognize and acknowledge the assets of others make great bosses. 🙂

Now you recognize and acknowledge my good traits. Are YOU in management?
Aren’t we all in a way?
Even though my formal title does not reflect that, I do that job every day.
Thank you for your supportive words.

I did work in supervisory positions in a couple jobs. Then when I left the wonderful world of work I my life was focused on “managing” my family (raising 4 daughters). Now I just manage my own life. LOL.
I was reminded of a couple of bosses that I have had that saw things in me that I didn’t know existed. They put me in positions that I would have never volunteered for and even tried to refuse -yet I excelled and I became a better person for it.

For some reason I thought you had at least 1 son.
That’s the wonderful thing – when others see the potential in you that you’re yet to be made aware of.

Nope all girls – just a couple son-in-laws and 1 grandson (so far).

Hey! Congratulations for all the awards that you’ve won! I enjoyed reading all the answers. Ha! Snape and Dumbledore are the top names in my list, too! And you got Gryffindor! I so wanted it but my house shifted between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff (yeah, I tried the the Pottermore test and other online tests many times)
That quote is pretty thought-provoking.
Noise implies a loud chaos of words, shouts, cries and screeching. Silence means that void in which you hear nothing. Not your thoughts, not any song, nothing. I’d really like to know the answer to this question that is which one of these will you choose and why.

Your nomination made this post possible. I enjoyed answering these questions.
I’d have to say silence.
Just today I almost exploded because people around me kept talking all day long and I could not get a moment of quiet.
Which one would YOU choose?

I’d choose silence, too. I tend to get very irritated when I’m in noisy crowded areas. But the idea of being in eternal silence also scares me.

I can understand that. Various isolation studies show that silence is not that good in the long run. Prisoners thrown into solitary confinement can go insane.

Yes. I mean, who wouldn’t go insane, living in an ever-lasting silence? I guess, in this case, I’d rather not choose between any of them

You’re right. It just goes to prove that balance is needed in EVERYTHING we do.
