Happy Halloween!

Did you dress up today? Share your costumes, if you did.

I am fighting a little bit of a cold, I will keep this short and sweet.

“Thank you!” to those that have nominated me this past month. It is always a pleasure to get such. Thinking of the answers to some these questions is not always easy, but I appreciate the brain stimulation.

  1. Wow, somebody’s very popular!!! Congratulations Goldie. Dostoevsky, very impressive, your street cred just went up. Crime and punishment, incredible read. Have you ever read George Orwell? 1984 or Animal Farm?

    What about William Golding, The Lord of the Flies?

    Lastly, have you ever read King James Version Bible?

    1. I thought I did, until I saw your question. Then I wasn’t so sure at the moment.
      It took a moment to collect myself, and I realized that yes, I do know a person, or two like that. Maybe they aren’t like that 100% of the time, but from what I’ve seen, they are near damn close.
      You would be one of them.

              Aren’t we all in a way?
              Even though my formal title does not reflect that, I do that job every day.

              1. I did work in supervisory positions in a couple jobs. Then when I left the wonderful world of work I my life was focused on “managing” my family (raising 4 daughters). Now I just manage my own life. LOL.
                I was reminded of a couple of bosses that I have had that saw things in me that I didn’t know existed. They put me in positions that I would have never volunteered for and even tried to refuse -yet I excelled and I became a better person for it.

  8. Hey! Congratulations for all the awards that you’ve won! I enjoyed reading all the answers. Ha! Snape and Dumbledore are the top names in my list, too! And you got Gryffindor! I so wanted it but my house shifted between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff (yeah, I tried the the Pottermore test and other online tests many times)
    That quote is pretty thought-provoking.
    Noise implies a loud chaos of words, shouts, cries and screeching. Silence means that void in which you hear nothing. Not your thoughts, not any song, nothing. I’d really like to know the answer to this question that is which one of these will you choose and why.

      I’d have to say silence.
      Just today I almost exploded because people around me kept talking all day long and I could not get a moment of quiet.
      Which one would YOU choose?

      1. I’d choose silence, too. I tend to get very irritated when I’m in noisy crowded areas. But the idea of being in eternal silence also scares me.

          1. Yes. I mean, who wouldn’t go insane, living in an ever-lasting silence? I guess, in this case, I’d rather not choose between any of them
