Here we are – at the end of the shortest month of the year.
Are you still going strong with your resolutions, or have you forgotten what they were in the first place?
Lent is almost upon us. During its duration, we are encouraged to better ourselves. It often involves giving something up. Something that maybe is not needed in your life. A bad habit, maybe? Or maybe start doing something that would enrich your life. It is like a second chance at resolutions.

The blogging community is a fickle one. So many people left shortly after I started my journey. More have left in the past year and a half. And I bet that some of you reading this today might not be present here in the blogosphere next year. Who knows if I will even be here… I sure hope I will. Blogging has turned into my long-term hobby.
With that being said, I would like to extend a big THANK YOU to all who read this.
Thank you for sticking around.
Thank you for being my inspiration and motivation.
Thank you for entertaining my writing whims.
Thank you for sharing your stories.
Thank you for not leaving.
(Please, do not leave…)

The awards/ tags I received in the month of February are:
THE GOOD DEED TAG (There used to be a photo here but now it is gone.)

I think at some point I’m gonna have to do this Versatile Blogger Award. This is my 4th nomination and I’m yet to do it. 😏 Thanks, Goldie. 🙂

I started blogging in 2012, kicking and screaming. 🙂
I was trying to find a publisher for my book and an agent said that no publisher was going to look at a writer who didn’t have “a platform” of over 400. I had no conception of what that meant, so I asked my friend Vickie, “What’s a platform?” She explained that I needed a blog. She helped me set it up, and was actively blogging unti she went to school. She hasn’t blogged since that time.
Blogging became a passion all its own, just as it has become for you. When I push the “follow” button, I rarely unfollow. Don’t worry about who follows or unfollows — the right people are there at the right time. 🙂

“Kicking and screaming”? Interesting. I don’t hear such an origin story often (if at all).
That’s why I created Twitter – to have online “presence”, because I feel like no one will approve of me as a serious writer if I don’t have all sorts of platforms I can use to promote my work. But I cannot get into Twitter… Maybe one day.
I didn’t mean unfollows per say. I meant people, who just stopped blogging along the way. But you are so right. Thank you for such wise, supportive words.

Congratulations, Goldie. Much deserved.
This was a funny read. 😂
You’re not an Irish leprechaun?
What are you then? A fairy goldie mother? 😏

I’m glad you found it entertaining. I don’t see myself as a funny person, but sometimes I say something that I consider funny. And if no one laughs then, then… So yea, glad you did!
Or maybe I’m just… a dragon?

You’re too nice to be a dragon.

That’s just a stereotype. Dragons are nice, too!

Congratulations on your wins.
Blogging is really interesting when you have the right content and the right eyeballs on every piece you publish.
Don’t quit.

You can add “cheerleading” to your CV. Feel free to do it in a pool, if it makes you feel better!

Thanks. I will delete it.
I’ve been thinking about you and keep forgetting to reach out. I think we were supposed to do a coordinated post. Right? I think the date has come and gone… I’ve just been crazy busy. I just wanted to let you know I feel guilty. It’s not like me 😦 Please forgive me.

‘Goldie’s Day’, yes — but we hadn’t agreed on an actual date. I thought, on the day of this year’s Summer Solstice, that that might be a good day. Maybe next year?
Please don’t feel guilty. No forgiveness required 🙂
