*NOMINATION NO. 3*
*BLOGGER RECOGNITION AWARD*
FROM: Jeanne, who always makes me hungry with her easy to follow recipes. The photos definitely amp up the salivation.
RULES:
- Acknowledge the person who nominated you for the award.
- Explain the reason for the award + Post the award image (see page no.1).
- Tell your origin story and give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
- Nominate other bloggers to pass this award onto.
EXPLANATION:
“This award is a way of acknowledging the workload and creativity that bloggers put into their blogs. Running and maintaining a blog isn’t just about writing something and then knocking it out to the readership – that is the core element of blogging, but not everything. There is much much, more to keeping a blog running, functioning and being presentable each day of each week of every month.” – Ribana
ORIGIN STORY:
CW: The origin of Goldie. <– A short (99 words) flash fiction I wrote about this blog’s beginnings. Also, I needed a hobby and a way to release my thoughts. Finding people to debate controversial topics with, became really hard and potentially dangerous. Hence, the virtual discussions on this blog. And then, I realized that my creativity was at an all-time low and I wanted to do something about it.
ADVICE:
For the past couple of months, the readers of my blog and I have been coming together to discuss various blogging-related topics. I recommend that you take a look at the last one –> HERE <–. You can find links to all of the previous installments in that post, too. There is a wealth of knowledge fellow bloggers share with one another in those monthly discussions.
My NOMINATIONS:
You are always so good at this. Keep up the good work 🙂

I never asked if the pingback worked for you. Did you get a notification regarding the last page?

I don’t think I did, now that you mention it. But Thank you anyways.

That’s too bad. I wonder if someone people have pingbacks disabled, or maybe they are just not compatible with the types of sites some people have. I know it is recommended to tell people they’ve been nominated, etc., but I like the element of surprise. You either see it, or you don’t. But I needed to point it out to you since my personal award.

I agree. I like the element of surprise too. We are 2 peas in a pod. 🙂

Aha! Personality question! And it turns out we’re pretty much exact opposites. 😆 Granted, you seem pretty balanced, but going by which ways you lean… Well, I’m generally an INFP, occasionally with some ambiguity on the F/T, depending on my mood. Kind of funny, being a selfish, semi-cynical “mediator.” Sometimes I wonder if that’s quite right. I hope it is; it seems a nice thing to be, at least it does to me. And anyway, it’s what I get almost every time. But then again, the box doesn’t make the person, the person makes the box. Still, it’s a nice ideal to aspire to.

Mediator? I hope others appreciate it. I find that it often lands me in hot water.

I’m appreciated. I just often feel I don’t deserve it. There are rare times where I feel my own influence, and can nudge things in the right direction, but usually I just feel powerless and like I’m part of the problem. I don’t really live up to my theoretical personality type’s title. You, though! I was reading a description of ESTJs and nigh laughed aloud. Especially the parts about honesty. 😅 It may not be a hundred percent, but I’m pretty sure there are at least some things in there that are very much you.

Now I’m curious to see what you read and what made you laugh.

Something about ESTJs being highly intolerant of dishonesty and laziness, especially at work; often earning them a reputation of inflexibility, though in truth they’re usually such sticklers only because they truly believe honesty and hard work are the best way to go.
I found it funny, because a. I have a weird sense of humor that’s tickled by truth; b. you’ve mentioned your work before, including some expectations of a standard, and, I believe, related difficulties with your co-workers?; and c. we were just talking about honesty.

Well, you know what? If you put it like that… I can think of no arguments to fight you.

You’re welcome. My week so far? Meh…got some holidays coming up starting on Friday, so I am itching to reach that. Other than, just rolling with the punches.

Being able to roll with the punches is a great accomplishment. With a day off yesterday and a weekend ahead of me, I feel fantastic. Hopefully you get to relax and regain your balance.

I also blog less in the summer. Somehow it is hard to stay on top of everything in life + blogging when sunshine comes along too

It makes sense. Although, I am not as active outdoors this past week or two as I would like to be.
What are you up to?
