“In 99 words (no more, no less) write a story about someone unremembered.”
– a prompt for this week’s CW piece.
[Source: @CarrotRanch]
Tom and the man sat next to him remained in silence for a moment.
“Who was she to you?” – the stranger asked.
“Mother” – Tom uttered.
“I’m sorry for your loss” – said the man, wiping a single tear off his cheek.
“You’ve known her?” – Tom inquired.
“We were young. I was stupid, so we parted ways. I finally found her on Facebook last week, and we were supposed to meet last Sunday” – he answered.
“I’d love to know how she spent the past 30 years” – he added.
“Unremembered. She gave me up when I was only a few months old.”

Thanks, Ash!
You’ve been awfully quiet lately. I hope you’re just busy and otherwise doing alright.

So that man might even be Tom’s dad?
My only complaint about this one that it is too short, even though that is its charm.
To summarize, I just can’t get enough of your creative writing!

I’m glad you picked up on it! That was actually my train of thought. But I had to fit it into 99 words.

So make it a book, so it can become a film and I can finally become an actress!

That’s an idea. Maybe I could do multiple of 99 next time when I want to say more.

Goldie, this gave me chills. I hope each figures out who they are to each other. Perhaps not all will be unremembered.
