A Golden Day

There has been a lot going on lately, hence my absence around here. However, I did manage to get away for a couple of days to reset my brain. I even got to meet Jeanne, which was a ton of fun.

I have already begun to visit some of your blogs and respond to comments. I look forward to catching up with all of you soon!

A Jeanne in the Kitchen

I am sure many of you know our very own Goldie. Goldie was one of my first blogger friends and has been a loyal friend ever since my humble beginnings as a blogger. But like so many of our blogger friends, we had never actually met in person …. until now. We just knew we were going to be good friends in real life as mush as we were in the world of blogging. And YES! This is true. We hit it off instantly. 🙂

Goldie is now my third blogging buddy whom I have actually met in person, and all have been huge successes. I just know we will all be good friends for a very long time. 🙂 First I met Julia from http://retirementrvdream.wordpress.com/. Julia and I have since become very good friends and we see each other as often as we can. Then earlier this month…

    1. It’s quite fun when you ‘know’ someone before knowing them. I have a hard time making small talk with people I meet for the first time, but blogging allows me to get through it smoother, so when we met, we already had so many topics to talk about. Wonderful indeed!

And yes, time away was just awesome and needed.

  1. I’m glad you’ve managed to get a break. It’s always so good for you, getting away, isn’t it? How wonderful to meet up with another blogging buddy. Sounds like you had a great time. I’d love to have the opportunity to do that, but I think all my fellow bloggers live far away from me; one in particular who I’m great friends with lives on the other side of the world. Not much chance of us meeting. Shame really. However, finding someone new and establishing a good friendship with them is still lovely. I’m happy it’s working out so well for you. Xx 🌞

      1. Thanks, Jeanie. That must have been great. Travelling is difficult for me, though, as I use an electric wheelchair which can’t be taken on airplanes. My limit is Southend on the train. Fortunately, I love it there. I’ve never wanted to travel far which is probably why I’m so content to stay here. 🌞

  2. It’s interesting to meet people “in real life” when you know them from online. I’m glad it went well. I like the picture, though you’re both shorter and more purple than I expected 😂

    1. I think that’s my first online-in person encounter. I’m pleased to report no horror story.

Your observation made me laugh out loud. I’m alwas happy to surprise people. Expect the unexpected.

  3. This is so awesome!! I’ve met one of my blogger buddies IRL, and now we are legit friends, having had several meals together, and regularly interacting with each other via phone, text, and social media. It’s such a blessing when you truly connect with folks online and take it to the next level! ♥️♥️♥️
