Well, the predictions were much worse the other day, so… fingers continue to be crossed.

Ok…I hate the unknown. This storm racket is exhausting.

Very true.
But, it seems like I’m in the same boat as you – the storm veered off and I’m ok.

You might need to come to higher ground, like Denver. Stay safe my friend. 🙂

Anytime, except next week. We will be out of town once again. This time in VA, for our niece’s wedding. 🙂

I’ve just finished posting up a response to your Eschaton inspired story for the Blog Battle and was wondering how you guys were.

Oh, dear. Do you live in Florida? I’ve been keeping an eye on the news and saying prayers for everyone over there. Please stay safe and don’t take any chances!

Have you had to leave your home, Goldie? I don’t think I know what part of Florida you’re in…

No, thankfully I did not. But I believe you have some friends around the area that got hit? How are they?

My friends are from Sanibel Island and Fort Myers. One of them just found out her house in Fort Myers is “good”! So she and her husband are thanking the Lord and asking if they should go home ASAP and find out how they can help others. ❤️

That’s what I thought. Wow. That’s good news. It looks like a lot of rebuilding will be required over there. I visited last year – beautiful area.

These ‘once-in-a-century’ huge storms are becoming more frequent. Those of us who have been ‘climate alarmists’ for years are very tempted to say, “Told you so!”
(Not saying you’re a climate science denier… just saying.)
Fingers crossed for you, Goldie. Stay safe!

Thank you. It’s been a pretty calm hurricane season so far. So, we have a lot to be thankful for. There’s a new depression forming, hopefully it will fizzle out.

Oh no! I don’t follow the news at all, but did see some stuff on YouTube.
Seems like you’re ok, but do stay safe!
I did send you an email earlier this week. Don’t worry about replying, just want to know if you received it

Yes, i got it, but was prepping for the hurricane and did not get the chance to respond. Will do so in the coming days.

A hurricane used to be called a tempest. Hence the name of Shakespeare’s play.
I really don’t like it when they change the names of things. They did that in India with Bombay becoming Mumbai and Calcutta becoming Kolakut or something like that. I say stick with names and don’t throw off the whole conversation; you’re just making problems for yourself.

Absolutely. A city where I lived for many many years changed the name of a well known building a few years ago, and then a couple of years ago they changed the name of an expressway… For me, the old names will stay.

Thanfully, I was unharmed. The devastation in other areas is pretty bad though…

I saw before from the other comments that Ian hadn’t bothered you too much. You’ve been pretty quiet on the blog front, though. Everything alright?

And you haven’t?
It’s SO hard to get back into things. The longer the break, the tougher it gets. And this point, I’m not sure where to start. I am in the process of drafting a NROP for Monday, though. So, there’s hope.
I appreciate you checking in. It feels weird not to be writing, reading, and engaging in discussion….

Touché. 😅 You’re often much better at it than I am, though. But yeah… It does get harder and harder. On the bright side, it also gets easier and easier. Once you regain momentum.
Here’s hoping you’ll regain yours soon. 🙂
