CW: The Awakening.

When I woke up, the sun was rising.

Where am I?

What happened?

Multiple questions swirled in my head as I looked around, trying to get my bearings.

My hands and feet were bound tight, and my head hurt.

Must have been a fun night.

All I remembered was going hiking to clear my head. City life can be so noisy.

When I finally got up to my feet and turn-

“Oh my God!”

A group of about ten people stood closely together, staring at me.

I extended my hands in hopes of getting the ties cut.

“The Aliens were supposed to come last night but then you showed up and scared them away,” one of members of the group said and folded his arms.

“What?” I asked, trying to figure out what nutjobs I was dealing with.

Just as I said it, they all gasped and prostrated themselves in front of me.

“Gsi gua gbimipo.”

“THEY ARE HERE,” excited whispers could be heard travelling among the group members.

“Who?”

Silence.

Beautiful silence.

Must keep it that way…
